  • I receive many requests on a daily basis about naming and hosting.   These requests are primarily from those who want to start blogging.  The most frequent question is “Where & how do I begin?”  Which is one of the same questions I had when I began.  I will list the first three (3) steps necessary to get started.

                 First and foremost – you must record your strongest PASSION!  Not only mentally but also on paper.  I recommend putting it somewhere you can see it daily. If you do not feel strongly about whatever you are writing about, visitors to your blog will leave quickly and never return. If they follow on articles are not about your PASSION, again your visitors will leave quickly and not return. Write your PASSION on paper and ask friends and family to give their opinion on your subject. If they do not STONGLY agree with you, find another subject that is your PASSION. If you do not love your topic, you will lose interest and procrastinate about writing follow on articles.  In my opinion, do not proceed until your gut tells you, this is your topic of PASSION.  And your PASSION is the subject of your blog.

    Second, you will need start your creative juices flowing and decide on how to “brand” your PASSION.  As the saying goes: “A rose by any other name wouldn’t smell as sweet”.


    Now that you have your subject, you need to start set up of the administration of your blog. You need to name your domain  in 3 to 5 words that describes your general subject like mine on ‘ Easy Money Internet Now’.  My blog is on to make money on the internet as my general subject.  The name (domain) of your blog should include or describe your PASSION. There are many registrars for domain names. I recommend that if you do not have a favorite that you use, consider buying your domain name at the same registrar company that will be the host for your blog or website.

    Third, you need to decide where you are going to ‘Park your Passion’.  I have broken this topic down into two categories: register of HOSTING & building your WEBSITE.

    •  HOSTING

    I recommend that you research the capabilities of at least three Hosting Services before you register with one.  The capabilities include band width, disk space and ,very important, site uptime. If your host crashes frequently, you will lose many visitors and/or customers. Hosting services that guarantee uptime are better business partners. Also, the cost per month is important. Many services have sales during the year but the lower cost per month is only for 3 to 6 months. The larger hosting with the more popular names offer additional services, such as email and cell phone support 24/7/365. The lower cost of  $2 to $4 per month is okay if your long-term goal is to reach a certain limit of visitor comments or emails and stay at that level.  If you are ‘good’ at writing about your PASSION, you will exceed those limitations.  GO FOR THE GOLD. Share your information with the planet!

    •  WEBSITE

    Many of the larger hosting services have the capability to assembly or construct your website with the associated templates.Both are free. They have technical support to help you build your website. I prefer WordPress because it has more capabilities to build your business. WordPress has both free and paid templates.  And, they are always adding new plugins and apps to expand your blog or business. Most of the larger hosting programs allow free transfer and set up of WordPress on their server.



    Although there are many good hosting servers, I prefer Hostgator because I have had 100% uptime for my website. They guarantee the 99.9% uptime. Many hosting services do not guarantee their uptime. I wonder why? Also, I like the toll free live chat with a person not an email.  Over their ten years as a hosting service, they have been consistently rated in the top 10, and often number 1. I have added another website of mine to Hostgator registered at no additional charge.  My goal is to keep adding affiliate websites to my Hostgator system.

Maintain the basic information like location and business hours but change ‘special deals’.  Establish your mobile website and view it on your personal mobile phone before you go ‘live’. Answer the question, ‘Will I go there and become a customer?’

     There are many businesses that create mobile websites at a reasonable price. For many business that regularly update their business website, creating a mobile website will be a breeze. Business owners, what is your time worth?  And ,what part of the business should you direct your focus? Rather than create the mobile website, is your time worth more on the basic business?

    Apps software for internet laptops and desktops requires some technical knowledge to download. The number of Apps software for desktops is extensive and requires research to determine what will improve your business. App software for mobile website is limited and easy to download.

    Anyone with any of the mobile website that is available can create a mobile website in 10 to 15 minutes. Even a 10 -year old kid.  Maybe, that is who is we should hire to build the mobile website.

  • Abraham Maslow stated that psychological health is not possible unless the fundamental essence of a person is accepted and loved, by self and others. He included ‘self-esteem’ on the fourth level in his Hierarchy of Needs. Maslow described two different forms of esteem:

    1. the need for respect from others; and
    2. the need for self-respect or inner self-esteem.

    Respect from others entails recognition, acceptance, status, appreciation and is believed to be more fragile and easily lost than inner self-esteem. According to Maslow, without the fulfillment of the self-esteem need, individuals will be driven to seek it and unable to grow and obtain self-actualization.

    What is self-esteem?
    ‘Self-esteem’ describes a persons overall appraisal of his or her self-worth. Self-esteem encompasses beliefs of self-value both positive and negative. It also includes emotions such as pride, swagger, conceit, shame, and triumph. This self-concept delves to the root of what we think and believe about ourselves. Do you view yourself from a positive or negative point of view? How often do you check the weather forecast for your self-esteem? Professional and personal associates will often check your weather patterns to determine whether they want to continue the relationship and ride out the weather.

    Negative Self-Esteem

    Negative or low self-esteem has many causes including physical appearance, socio-economic status, family upbringing and peer pressure. Low self-esteem behavior includes self-imposed isolation, feeling of rejection, insignificance, increasing dissatisfaction with current social relationships, and suicide. Drug abuse and delinquency are common side effects of low self-esteem. Parents are usually your first influence in development of self-esteem.
    My dad was a very negative person. He told me that I would never amount to much of anything. It took positive comments from many teachers and other authority figures to change that initial self-regard recorded in my brain. Peers and friends often influence your self-esteem either positively or negatively depending on their own self-esteem.
    Does your self-esteem follow any of the below weather patterns?

    • Windy – excessive self criticism
    • Thunder – sensitive to criticism with strong resentment against critics
    • Tornado – continuous dwelling on past mistakes
    • Stormy – pessimism and infinite general negative outlook

    Positive Self-Esteem

    Positive or high self-esteem can have many of the same causes as low self-esteem including physical appearance, socio-economic status, family upbringing and peer pressure. When my daughter was in first grade she was teased relentlessly by some of her classmates about her freckles. She didn’t like having freckles and wanted them removed until her grandmother told her that every freckle was a ‘love spot’ to remind her of how much she was loved by her family and friends. Positive self-esteem behaviors emphasize and celebrate your unique strengths, needs, interests and skills. These behaviors also include your capacity to solve problems and ask for and accept help when needed. People with positive self-esteem often trust their own judgment, have confidence in self-ability and firm beliefs in values and principles. They can also have wide varieties of interests and activities.
    Does your self-esteem follow any of the below weather patterns?

    • Temperate – they learn from the past, plan for the future, but live intensely for today
    • Blue Skies – consider themselves equal to others but accept differences in talent, personal prestige or financial standing
    • Sunny– accept that they are an interesting person to others, especially friends
    • Coastal Breeze – are sensitive to feelings and needs of others and respect generally accepted social rules and norms

    Awareness is always the first step to change. Hopefully, this weather report on self-esteem will guide you to understand and ask yourself “What is it like to be on the other side of my weather front?”

  • S.M.A.R.T. is a mnemonic used to set objectives in establishing goals for project management, employee performance management or personal development. The terms behind the letters for S.M.A.R.T. Goals are as follows: S= Specific, M= Measurable, A= Attainable, R = Relevant, and T=Time-Frame. Let us define each major term and how it defines the objective of  ‘The Goal’.


    This term stresses the need for a particular goal as opposed to a more general one. This means the goal is clearly defined without vagaries. To make goals very specific, they must tell the team or individual exactly what is expected, why it is important,who is involved, where it is going to happen and which attributes are important. A specific goal will usually answer the five “ W “ questions:

    • What: What do I want to accomplish?
    • Why:  Why am I or we defining this goal?  [The specific reasons or benefits of accomplishing the goal.]
    • Who:  Who is involved?
    • Where:  Identify any specific locations.
    • Which:  Identify all requirements and / or constraints.


    This term stresses the need for concrete criteria for measuring progress toward attaining the goal. The thought behind this is that if a goal can not be measured, it is not possible to know whether a team is making progress toward successful completion.  Measuring progress is supposed to help the team or individual stay on track, reach its target dates, and experience the exhilaration of achievement that spurs it on to reach the ultimate goal. A measurable goal will answer the following questions:

    • How much?
    • How many?
    • How will I know when it is accomplished?


    This term stresses the importance of goals that are realistic and attainable.  While an attainable goal may stretch the team or individual in order to achieve it, the goal is not extreme. That is goals are neither out of reach nor below standard performance as these may be considered meaningless.  When you identify goals that are most important to you, focus on ways to accomplish them. You develop the skills, attitudes, abilities, and financial means to achieve them.  An attainable goal will drive teams or individuals to identify previously overlooked opportunities to bring themselves closer to the achievement of their goals. The attainable goal will answer the questions:

    • How: How can the goal be accomplished?
    • What: What are the steps needed to achieve this goal?


    The relevant term stresses the importance of choosing goals that  are important to the team or individual., A general contractor’s goal “ to wash 5 cars by noon” may be Specific, Measurable, Attainable and Time-framed but lacks Relevance.  Many times you will need support to accomplish a goal: resources, an influential voice, someone to knock down obstacles.  Goals that are relevant to your boss, your team, your organization
    will receive that needed support.  Relevant goals drive you, the team, or organization forward. A goal that supports or coordinates with other goals would be considered a relevant goal. A relevant goal answers these questions:

    • Is this worthwhile?
    • Is this the right time?
    • Does this match our other needs?
    • Am I the right person?


    This term stresses the importance of defining goals within a time frame and/or giving them a target date. A commitment to a deadline helps you or your team focus your efforts on completion of the goal on or before the due date.  Having a Time-frame requires you to focus on the goal  rather than the day-to-day crises that arise for you or your team. A time frame goal is intended to establish a sense of urgency.

  • When we’re asked how to get traffic to a website, one of the ways that we tell people that nobody else has is that they should run contests, offer discounts, or even give away freebies. While we can’t answer why most people never think of this idea, we can attest that it works: who doesn’t love free things and discounts?

    Freebies As Part Of Your Internet Marketing Strategy

    Offering freebies on your website, usually along similar lines as your content material, is a great way to generate web traffic. However, it can also be pretty expensive, and tends to attract people that may not want to come back to your website. But some of them will! A great way to handle free items is to make them yourself. If you run a video game website, a small set of stuffed game characters can work great, or if a baking website, then some baked cookies are awesome too.

    Running Contests

    Alternatively, a great way to get traffic to a website is by featuring contests. These can be a variety of things: submit a high score in a video game, take the best picture of a baked item, or just about anything you can think of. This works even better if you allow your readers to vote on which entry they think should win. This will keep people coming to your website regularly so they can monitor progress – and that means more traffic, and that means more advertising revenue!

    While running contests and giving away things can be both time and labor intensive, they are both great ways to attract people to your website. Why? People love free things, and they love contests! Plus, these are a great way to show your readers that you want to be actively engaged with them, and that’s always a wonderful thing when it comes to generating web traffic.

  • Think about this…

    If you place a leaf on the ground on a sunny day, what happens?…Absolutely nothing But…if you place a magnifying glass over that leaf and hold it still, what happens? The sun’s light is focuses through the magnifying glass and a hole is burned in the leaf. “FOCUS” is the difference between a warm leaf and a forest fire.

    The problem with 99% of home business entrepreneurs is that they never commit to focusing on ONE endeavor. Most of us never made the commitment to ourselves (before we got started) that we were only going to focus on ONE business and ONE outcome UNTIL we reached our goal! As far as I’m concerned, you need to look at today as a brand new day. Today is the first day of the rest of your life as a home business entrepreneur. Today is the day that you clear everything else off of your table and focus on ONE home business endeavor! Most network marketing and home business entrepreneurs think that they’ll be able to “multi-task” their way to success. As a society, we get a perverse sense of importance when we think to ourselves that we’re “super busy because we’ve got a lot on our plate and we’re juggling a bunch of stuff”. Do yourself a favor….STOP!

    It’s kind of like you trying to tie both shoes at the same time…IT DOESN’T WORK! You either tie ONE shoe at a time or you walk around in your socks all day. ONE thing that every single successful home business entrepreneur knows is this: If you do not have complete focus on the outcome you desire, you will NEVER reach your goals!
    But, understanding (and implementing) the power of focus isn’t just important to your success as a home business entrepreneur, it’s important to your success in ALL aspects of your life! Start by focusing on the small tasks that take only a short period of time to complete. Soon, your “focus muscles” will be strong enough for you to complete large tasks at lighting speed! Where we place our focus, the rest of our mind and emotions will follow.

    If right at this moment you are “focusing” on more than one way to make money in a home business…then you’re not focusing! The word “focus” implies attention on ONE item. Try focusing on flying a kite while baking some cookies and see if the cookies don’t burn or the kite doesn’t fly away!

    And if you choose not to focus on only 1 thing; then accept the fact that you’re probably never going to reach your goals. Go pick ONE business endeavor to focus on RIGHT NOW! Tomorrow we’ll move on to the second success secret!

  • In our first home business success tip I spoke to you about focus. Now it’s time to talk about the 2nd half of the equation! I’ve had this secret told to me by numerous successful people over the years, and more and more I’ve found it to be true.

    My good friend and mentor, Devon Brown, told me a great story to illustrate this success secret and I’d like to share it with you:

    ========== Devon’s Story (As told by Devon) ==================
    Back in 2001 (way before I became a successful Internet Marketer) I learned the truth about “overnight riches” while attending my fist “how to make money” seminar (which I spent $4,000 to attend). This was a real estate investing seminar and I was bound and determined to make it as a real estate investor (which never happened– hahahaha)

    Anyways, I went up to the gentleman who was teaching my group and proceeded to tell him how bad I needed money now! I can’t remember the gentleman’s name but we’ll call him “Bob” for the sake of this article. Here’s how the conversation went.

    Bob: So Devon, which area of real estate would you like to focus on?

    Me: Which ever one will make me money the fastest…and I need money RIGHT NOW!

    Bob: But which area do you like the best, which area could you see yourself doing long

    Me: It doesn’t matter Bob, I went completely broke in order t make it here, I’ve got to
    make all of my money back in 30 days or I’m gonna die

    Bob: Look Devon, I’ve been there…and I’m telling you it’s not gonna happen overnight.
    You’ve got to stay focused for an extended period of time and then slowly
    but surely results will start to happen.

    Me: That’s nice Bob, but I don’t have time to dilly dally around I NEED MONEY NOW!

    Needless to say; my real estate investing career didn’t last very long: But that’s not the point of the story.

    The point of the story is that I had someone telling me the REAL answer. I didn’t want to listen. So I went about doing things my way and continued to jump from opportunity to opportunity, while at the same time continuing to stay broke!

    Here’s the bottom line. I don’t care WHAT the guru promises you, how badly you want it, or how certain you are that “this is the one” Success and true financial freedom WILL NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT!!!! So there it is, the 100% truth, either accept it and move forward, or continue to fight it and keep struggling!

    In the first 21 days you go from $0.01 to $10,000. But in the final 10 days you go from $10,000 to over $10-MILLION!!

    Just like it takes consistency to turn a penny into $10-Million…It also takes consistency for you to reach your financial goals as a home business entrepreneur. But with FOCUSED & CONSISTENT action; it WILL happen!

  • Ok, see if you can relate to this one.

    You’re all excited about the opportunity you’ve just joined. You approach your friends and family FULL of excitement in hopes that they will be supportive, join, and start down this path of financial independence with you. Instead they: laugh at you, ridicule you, or tell you that you’re stupid “trying these scams”.

    We’ve all been there before, and it’s not a fun place to be. If you haven’t done so already you need to accept the following:

    1. 95% of your friends and family will NOT support you in your home business endeavors. So get over it!

    2. Learn to keep your mouth shut! If your friends and family tell you that they don’t want to hear about your opportunity – then DON’T TELL THEM.

    3. Actions speak louder than words. When you drive up in your new Mercedes, they wont have ANYTHING to say to you!

    4. Whenever one of your friends “poops on your parade” remember something I heard not too long ago: “Flowers need sunlight to grow…but they also need dirt and rain!”

    5. The fact that they don’t support you doesn’t mean they don’t love you. They still want the best for you but they’re just too busy thinking inside to box to understand that there IS a better way!

    Don’t try to change the minds of your friends and family. You’re better off just creating a mastermind group of like minded individuals and holding meetings (either in person or over the phone) once a week. It doesn’t matter if you’re all in the same home business or not (although that would be good if you were all in the same “type” of business)

    In order for you to achieve real success as a home business entrepreneur, you must surround yourself with other like minded people. Its up to you guys to help each other stretch out of our comfort zones, solve problems too complex to figure out alone, set goals, and stay accountable. Having a mastermind/accountability group is one of the single biggest things that can put you on the fast track to success! Now it’s your turn! Go find at least 3 other home business entrepreneurs and form a mastermind group.

  • It’s important that you understand that your success/failure as an online entrepreneur isn’t based in whether or not you succeed or fail in any given program or opportunity. It’s based on YOUR EMAIL LIST!! Opportunities come and go but the relationship you have with your list is what will make you REALLY successful.

    I dare you to go and interview 20 top marketers and ask them what the most important aspect of their business is. I’ll bet you $1,000 that most of them will say it’s their email list!

    Building an email list is actually quite simple.

    All it takes is 3 steps

    1. Choose a niche market! Some sample niches might be: making money online,
    weight loss, back pain relief, real estate investing, how to be a better parent, etc…

    2. Once your niche is chosen, put up a little one-page website called a “Squeeze Page” the squeeze page will offer them free advice in exchange for their name/email address.

    3. Your Auto-Responder. Once someone has typed their name/email-address into the fields on your squeeze page; that information gets put into an auto-responder like Aweber or IContact. An auto-responder is just the “thingy” that allows you to you e-mail people whenever you wish

    That’s it! You now have the ability to BUILD YOUR LIST! All you need now is a little bit of traffic and you’re good to go!

    Have you ever wondered how some people are able to make large amounts of money quickly? Well, you just learned the secret. It’s all in the list!

    You MUST understand…making money in a home business endeavor has NOTHING to do with the particular opportunity you join (assuming of course the opportunity is legit). Instead, it has to do with you having a list! Having a list is the “secret” that all the big dogs have been using for years. It works so well because it positions YOU as the expert; and people always want to follow those who they feel are more successful than they are!

    I’m going to blunt here, and in doing so I’m probably going to poke a lot of holes in the way you think about multiple streams of income. Let’s make no mistake about it; the concept itself sounds really good (if taken at face value). But the problem is that when most people think of Multiple Streams of Income (MSI), the WRONG image pops into their head. What’s more is that the way that most people think about MSI, is actually HURTING their chances of ever achieving success!     Your current understanding of Multiple Streams of Income is ACTUALLY hurting your chances of getting Multiple Streams Of Income.
